An enterprise site that updates without a ticket, on both sides of the Great Firewall.
TLDR A large international site, hard-coded on Chinese infrastructure, was slow to reach from outside China and impossible to update without an IT ticket. Heka migrated it to Webflow inside a fixed ~3-month window, recovered the content from a site with no export path, wired the forms back into the CRM, worked with Laiye's tech team until access held on both sides of the Great Firewall, and handed the marketing team a site they could run themselves.

Overview
Laiye delivers AI-powered intelligent automation for enterprises. It had acquired Mindsay in April, a company whose Webflow site Heka had already built, and the lead designer from that project recommended Heka to Laiye's marketing team. Working from his mockups, Heka ran the migration page by page and handled the Webflow build end to end. The brief was explicit: onboard fast and go live by the end of August.
They had just acquired a company whose site already ran on Webflow the way theirs didn't yet.
Laiye's international site was hard-coded on Chinese infrastructure, and that created two problems at once. Content changes always went through an IT ticket, so the marketing team could not move at its own pace. And outside China, visitors hit a page that took an age to load, slowed by the Great Firewall. The company had just acquired Mindsay, whose site ran on Webflow and updated without a developer, so consolidating on the same platform was the obvious move.
Three months to migrate a business-critical site that refused to export.
A large, business-critical site had to be moved off a bespoke stack onto Webflow inside a hard ~3-month deadline, without breaking lead-generation forms or CRM, and while staying reachable from both sides of the Great Firewall. The old site allowed no content export, so every page had to be recovered by other means. A failed or late migration would have cost the marketing team its primary acquisition channel.
Land the move without losing the deadline, the leads, or China.
Migrate on time
Better UX, less clutter
Hand editing back to marketing
Preserve business-critical infrastructure
A full site revamp in Webflow, with redirects and a content migration rescue.
Full Webflow rebuild
18 static pages, 7 CMS templates, and 3 legal pages, plus a project style guide for maintainability, with a page-by-page migration plan and redirections to preserve the existing site.
Content recovery
The old site allowed no export, so 100+ pages were scraped straight from the browser, compiled into a CSV, and imported into Webflow.
Custom features
A custom-code ROI calculator, a custom home hero slider, and global site search.
CRM integration
Webflow forms wired back to Oracle Eloqua, in coordination with a partner agency.
China accessibility
A reverse-proxy setup (internal proxy under a Baidu-root domain with an /en subfolder) after a Cloudflare Workers approach was blocked by DNS and policy constraints, then tested and fine-tuned with Laiye's tech team until access held on both sides.
The team publishes on its own, and the architecture hasn't moved since.
The marketing team publishes without IT. Content updates that used to require a ticket now sit with the people who write them.
The site holds up on both sides of the Great Firewall. Access was validated in China and internationally, which is what the reverse-proxy work was for.
Nothing was left behind in the move. The full content of a site that permitted no export was recovered and reimported, page for page.
The structure has not moved since delivery. Only the content evolves, at the company's own pace. The Webflow architecture has held without ever costing a rebuild.
